When I was a little girl, I used to walk around my house with a huge boom box and a microphone, interview my friends and family and then put together radio shows on cassette tape.
That was probably the most useful gift my parents ever gave me. Even back then I was curious about other people and their stories and how I could tell them.
My passion for storytelling has served me my whole life, both personally and professionally.
I graduated with a degree in Television from Ferris State University in Michigan, and since then I have worked in various facets of the industry, including corporate, broadcast, and film, as an editor and producer.
In the last 10 years, I have also branched out into writing, on-camera hosting, and podcast producing and editing.
When I'm not telling stories, you can find me outside running (beach and trails), hiking, playing beach volleyball (fitness is my second love), and watching movies.
I also love spending time working on my personal finance blog of six years, Budget and the Beach.
